Our Harmony House project, like most construction endeavors, has gone through a challenging evolution since we purchased the property at the end of 2014. After securing our first grants and donations, we moved forward with our plan to renovate the property at 800 Pendleton St, securing the services of a team of engineers and an architect, together with a General Contractor.
As the year wore on, it became clear our timetable was too aggressive. Although we received significant support from foundations and corporate sponsors, it was not enough to open the facility by Jan. 1. Still, the funds raised in 2016 were sufficient to fully fund the project. All that remains now is permitting and the actual renovation, of course, but the project is now officially paid for! We thank our dozens of supporters for making this possible.
